He was predeceased by: his parents, Stonewall Lee and Dollie Frances Riddle Welsh; his wife Mary Pedigo Welsh; his siblings, Myron, Reid Welsh, Neva Estes, Nelda Siddens and Nella Welsh; and his siblings-in-law, Daisy Jobe Welsh, Dorothy Bellamy Welsh, Herman Estes and Lewis Siddens.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Welsh (Teresa), Temple Hill, Troy Eddie Welsh (Becky), Greg Welsh (Sandra), Charles Welsh (Scotty), Faye Houchens (Gary) and Sonya Welsh; his grandchildren, Amanda Goodman, Jeffrey Adam Welsh, Erin Miller (Brett), Nick Houchens (Marsha), Jon Houchens (Candice), Morgan DeWeese (Alan), Tasha Glass, Trae Staten, Robert Coulter and Ashley Locher (Jansen); his brothers, Legene of Summer Shade and Lonnie Welsh (Charlotte) of Summer Shade; his close friend Marie Thrasher; and his sister-in-law Wanda Welsh. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
