It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herlen Payne Jr. of Summer Shade, Kentucky, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herlen Payne Sr. and Louise Zoellner Payne; and his sister Barbara Hoyt. He is survived by: his children, Diana Saylor (David) of Summer Shade, Joyce Stafford of Summer Shade and Thomas Payne of Smiths Grove; and his siblings, Rose Outcault of Indiana, Georganna Vandermoere (Don) of Indiana, Frank Payne (Jeanne) of Indiana and Robert Payne (Sharon) of Indiana. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
