He was predeceased by: his parents, Fendell Harris and Beulah Shields; and his wife Virginia Shields. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Germane of Sturgis, Reba Sparks of Westmoreland, TN and Connie James (Michael) of Huntsville, AL; his brothers, William Harris Shields (Marcia) of Henderson and Jerry Allen Shields (Carol) of Bryn Mawr, PA; and his grandchildren, Sarah Osborne, Jessica and Bradley James. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
