Sidney left this world on December 29, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Girvin and Rose Anna Girvin; and his significant other Margaret. He is survived by: his children, Patty Wells (Joe) of Sturgis, John Girvin of Evansville and Barb Gorman (Mike) of Sturgis; and his grandchildren, Mitzi Ervin, Chris Girvin, Amy Girvin, Drew Wells, Erin Danhauer, Evan Gorman and Alec Girvin. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Whitsell Funeral Home - Sturgis (609 N Main St, Sturgis, KY 42459). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
