He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Prentice and Gladys Lorine Owen (Powell); and his wife Linda Joyce Owen (Harper). He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Owen of Lexington, KY, Gerald Owen of Sturgis and Kathy Wallace; his grandchildren, Ryan Owen (Catherine), Aaron Owen (Amanda), Jonathan Wallace (Breanna) and Megan Oliver (Chris); his great grandchildren, Elynn Owen, Elias Owen, Jayda Wallace, Ryker Wallace, Axyl Wallace, Paysen Oliver, Jadisen Oliver, Easton Wallace, Grayson Oliver, Waylon Oliver and Sister Sandy James (late George); and his brother Frank Owen Henderson (Delores).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Whitsell Funeral Home - Sturgis (609 N Main St, Sturgis, KY 42459). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
