He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Charlie Slaven; his son Cletus Andrew Slaven; and his siblings, Cleo Kidd, Catherine Collins, Jo Kidd and Veda Carol Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Glenna Slaven (Creekmore); his children, Larry Slaven (Nakayla Higginbotham) of Parkers Lake and Jamie Ethridge (Dale) of Pine Knot; his siblings, Lonnie Slaven of Oneida, TN, Kenneth Slaven (Kinzella) of Indiana, Beatrice Whitehead (Eddie) of Indiana, Helen Hicks of Oneida, TN and Ann Slaven of Nashville, TN.; and his grandchildren, Isabella Watson, Aiden Watson and Winter Ethridge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
