It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Prater of Stopover, Kentucky, who passed away on August 27, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Prater and Dora Prater; his son Jamie Prater; and his siblings, Sonny Prater, Millard Prater, Ocie Prater, Darold Prater, Donald Prater, Jeff Prater, Arthur Prater, Doris Evans, Glendene Hatfield and Sue Prater.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Prater of Stopover, KY; his children, Mindy Adkins (Josie), Amy Marie Craddock (Crash), Michael Prater (Melissa), Danny Curry (Amber), Stacey May (Syn Syn), Crystal Thomas (Henry), Kenny Curry (Tina), Johnny Levi Prater, Billy Curry (Brooke), Alisse Curry, Cecilia Prater, Aiden Curry and Ace Curry; his siblings, Harold, Ronnie Prater, Charlene Chaufner, Carlene Curry and Mary Thomas; and his grandchildren, Jacelynn Wallace and Hunter Scott (Hun-Hun). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
