He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Akers (John); his siblings, Brenda North (Angelo), Nancy Brock (Lou), Rose Miniard (Marty), Lutishia Caldwell (James) and Virgil Akers (Cleda); his grandchildren, Laney Johnson and KiRay Hensley; his stepdaughters, Brittney Hensley, Demetria Dean, Melissa Hensley and Nina King; and his close friend Gary Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
