He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Franklin and Della Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Franklin; his children, Melisa Ann Tomes (Danny), Edward James Franklin (Charlotte), Anthony Lee Franklin and Sherry Lynn Long (Kelly); his sister Betty Leonhardt; his grandchildren, Sean Tomes (Christy), Christopher Tomes (Laura), Matthew Tomes, Nathan Sizemore, Emily Batts (Daniel), Tabetha Franklin and Danielle Tomes; his nieces, Beth Gossman and Brenda Wuchterel; and his nephew Bobby Leonhardt. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests that contributions in Eddie's memory be made to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
