He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Phillip and Zona Worley Owens of Smithtown, Kentucky.; and his siblings, Floyd, Earl, Norman Pete, Clyde, Virgil Owens, Bessie Shepherd, Edith Strunk Abbot, Allene Shepherd, Geneva Inman, Iae Lee Foster and Norma Jean Morrow.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Owens (Stephens); and his sons, Gregory Owens (Krystal) of Whitley City, Stephen Owens (Tina) of Smithtown and Douglas Owens (Karen) of Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
