Though Jay may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Whalen and Irene Ball (Perkins); his grandparents, Walter and Vicie Perkins (Strunk); and his brothers, Charles Whalen and Larry Whalen.
He is survived by: his wife Flora Perkins (Tapley) of Monticello; his children, Jamie Perkins of Central City, KY and Jana Rae Bridges (Justin) of Evansville, IN; and his sisters, Joan McCurry of Cincinnati and Gail Tierney of Cincinnati. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
