It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Shook Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky, born in Jellico, Tennessee, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Shook and Goldie Shook (Gregory); her son Andrew Wayne Cooper; her grandchild Peyton Coffey; and her siblings, Edward Shook (Orene), Wayne Shook, Jimmy Sylvester Shook II (Kathern), William "Bill" Shook, Shelby Jean King, Iva Sue Jones (Ervin) and Hazel Troxell (Jesse).
She is survived by: her husband Phillip Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky; her children, Fred Cooper (Hallie) of Stearns, Luke Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky and Shelly Cordell (JR) of Stearns, Kentucky; her brothers, Bruce Shook (Joan) of Monticello and Dale Shook of Stearns, Kentucky; her sisters-in-law, Jean Shook of Stearns, Kentucky and Roxanne Shook of Stearns, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Andrea Becker (Thomas), Bryer Cordell (Tessa), Gavin Cordell (Chantay), Sean Cooper, Rayne Cooper, Ryver Cooper, Ryder Cooper, Macey Welchel, Hank Baird (Destiny) and Bubba Baird; and her great grandchildren, Lilly Becker and Rosalee Becker.
