She was predeceased by: her spouse Hill; her parents, B. M. Compton and Alifare Crider Compton; her daughter Carolean Newsome; and her siblings, Troy Compton and Irene Wallen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Willagean Childers of Louisville, KY and Willa Dean Preston of Meally, KY; her sister Catherine Pauline Compton of Michigan; and her grandchildren, Anthony Preston, Marsha Bougardus, Tina Abundissalazar, Jennifer Csaszar and William Edward Yost. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
