He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirldean Townsend and Anna Louise Hall Townsend; his wife Deborah Hall; and his sister Ellen Gray. He is survived by: his son Steven "Dusty" Sparks (Holly) of Stanton; his stepdaughter Tonya Sparks of Stanton; and his siblings, Kevin Townsend (Diane) of Stanton, Shelia G. Smith (Jeffery) of Stanton, Janice Kennett (Gary) of Stanton and Anna Townsend (John) of Stanton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
