He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Amos and Joan Mitchell Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Melvin Jones, Vannie Eli Jackson Jr., Jessie Thomas, Morgan David Sexton, Keith Maurice Jackson, Mathew Robert Jackson, Chrissy Clemons Jones, Henryetta Rose, Stacy Lou Thomas, Ashley Marie Jackson, Hali Harvey and Cassie Wilson; his stepchildren, Kevin Lawson, Robert Lawson, Alyssa Lawson and Alan Lawson; and his siblings, Steve Jackson, Robin Jackson and Mary Jackson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren.
