She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin Carter; her parents, Arthur Grigsby and Sarah Grigsby; her siblings, Tommy Grigsby, Roy Lee Grigsby, Georgy Grigsby, Monroe Grigsby and Hildra Glover; her daughter-in-law Delorah Carter; and her grandson Trevor Carter.
She is survived by: her children, John Carter of Clay City, KY, Calvin Carter of Charleston, SC, Timothy Carter of Virginia Beach, VA, James Carter (Sue) of Oak Grove, KY, Mattie Blakemore of Lexington, KY and Sarah Miller (Anthony) of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren.
