He is survived by: his wife Beulah Yates; his children, John "Bill" Yates Jr. (Kathy), Greg Yates and Leisa Graham (Paul); his stepdaughter Teresa Morton; and his siblings, Jerry Yates and Dottie Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
