She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd F. Hughes and Joyce Flawn Hughes; her son Lyle Vance King; and her siblings, Floyd Dean Hughes, Danny Edward Hughes (Lisa) of Camargo and Dolly Jean Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Bedford King of Stanton; her children, Shawn Wade King (Valerie) of Russellville and Cassie King of Stanton; her grandchildren, Danielle Crabtree, Cody Pace, Austin King and Taylor King; her great grandchildren, Kylee Crabtree, Kyndall Cecil, Motley Eastman and Kynnedy Cecil; and her siblings, Alton Hughes (Kathy) of Stanton, Sammy Hughes (Pam) of Olive Hill, Tyler Hughes (Hyla) of Clay City, Hattie Jones (James) of Stanton, Kathy Couch of Beattyville, Rosa Elliott (Jerry) and Finley.
She served many years as an election officer in the Slade and Bowen precincts and was well thought of for her kindness and the donation of pies and cakes to several organizations and churches in Powell County.
