She was predeceased by: her husband James Donald Elam; her parents, Stanley Waits and Elizabeth Whitaker Waits; and her son Raymond Elam. She is survived by: her children, James Sidney Elam of Lexington, Freddie Joe Elam (Penny) of Winchester, Patricia Williams (Chuck) of Slade, Carolyn Sue LeMaster (Billy) of Virginia Beach, VA and Cynthia Hale (Jerry) of Clay City; and her brother Dennis Waits of Middletown, OH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
