She was predeceased by: her husband Matthew B King; and her parents, Charlie Brooks and Ima Jean Taulbee Brooks. She is survived by: her son Matt King; and her siblings, Glen Brooks, Charles Brooks, Rondel Brooks, Jeanie Patrick, Betty Townsend, Dorothy Risner, Darlene Watkins, Teresa Risner and Leslie Scott. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
