He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Aloysius and Catherine Booker; his great-nephew Graham Hodges; and his brother-in-law Billy Joe Bollinger. He is survived by: his children, John A. Booker, Jr. of Lexington, KY, Anna Dee Raney (Greg) of Henderson, Jeremy T. Booker, Jordan L. Booker (Theresa) of Crownsville, MD and Joel B. Booker (Christina) of South Lake, TX; his grandchildren, Brandon Booker (Kaylie), Mitchell DeMar (Haley), John Thomas DeMar (Kaylee), Justin Booker, Olivia Booker, Charlotte Booker, Francis Booker and Madeleine Booker; his stepgranddaughters, Hadlee Baty (Dillon) and Hannah Raney; his great grandchildren, Karson Booker, Kason DeMar, Eloise DeMar, Claire Booker and Avery DeMar; and his sister Philomenia Bollinger of Grand Rivers, KY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St Peter of Alcantara Church (81 Church St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
