He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Lee Cave, Sr. and Audrey Highbaugh Cave; his brothers, Wendell Cave, Ancil Cave and Wilford Cave; and his siblings-in-law, Owen Peagler, Betty Cave, Charlene Cave, Lorraine Cave and Darlene Cave.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Lynn Boone Cave of Stanford; his children, O. Lee Cave III (Andy) of Louisville, KY, Robert Boone Cave (Dani) of Lexington, KY and Christy Lynn Cave Karwatt (Steve) of Sarasota, FL; his grandchildren, Steven Karwatt (Meghan), Kelly Karwatt Gleason (Sean), Becca Cave and Amanda Cave; his great grandchildren, Giuliana Karwatt, Steven D. Karwatt and Tate Gleason; his brothers, Emery Cave and Gordon Cave; and his sisters-in-law, Julie Cave and Terry Boone Balough. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
