With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucille A. Hinds of Stanford, Kentucky, born in Newport, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2024 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by : her parents, Archie A. Leithead and Muriel Isabell Ward Leithead; her husband Jimmy Hinds; her daughter Diane Gail Poirier; her stepmother Pearl Leithead; and her siblings, Marilyn Leithead and Arthur Leithead.

She is survived by : her children, Catherine Ann Poirier Schmiers, Lisa Jean Poirier Gayhart (Steve), Maria Teresa Poirier Zarate, Michael Edward (Garnetta Poirier) and Sherri Gail Poirier; her stepchildren, Jennifer Hinds Broce, Susie Hinds Johnson and Wayne Hinds; her grandchildren, Christopher House, Tracy Swetlow (Steve), Amber Gordon, Ronnie Dailey, Melissa Dailey, Jason Dailey, James Robinson, Shawn Poirier, Samantha Schmiers, Cody Baker, Jordan Poirier and Ciara Johnson; and her brother Bruce Leithead.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKnight Funeral Home (229 Main St, Crab Orchard, KY 40419). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
