He was predeceased by: his parents, Williams Lawson and Isa Lee Cook Lawson; his wife Mary Lawson; and his siblings, Ebbie Lawson, Tot Lawson, Mae Owens, Marieta Smith, Jessie Goggins, Jim Lawson, Earl Lawson and Homer Lawson.
He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Combs (Wayne) of Danville, KY; his grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Combs (Christina) of Boston, MA, Alexandria Combs Bredar (Garrett) of Durham, NC and Lucinda Elizabeth Combs of Frankfort, KY; and his great grandchild Sydney Combs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
