He was predeceased by: his parents, Brown Thompson and Connie Miracle Thompson; his siblings, Melvin Thompson and Helen Byrd; and his great grandchild Jansin P. Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Thompson of Stanford, KY; his children, Kevin Dean Thompson of Stanford, KY and Karen Lynn Wegkamp (Karl) of Utah; his brother Frankie Dean Thompson of Stanford, KY; and his grandchildren, Kandis, Kacy, Kory, Travis, Kristen and Jessica. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
