He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Otis and Maudie Marie Jenkins Pumphrey; his wife Dolores Pumphrey; his daughter Gladys M. Salyers; and his siblings, Otis Junior Pumphrey, William Ray Pumphrey, Lyda Stout, Pearl Lecompt and Mae McMahan.
He is survived by: his children, Will Pumphrey (Dodie) of Somerset, Dennis Pumphrey (Melissa) of West Virgina, Joseph Pumphrey (Melissa) of Stanford, Beverly Rice (Charley) of Alabama, Charlotte Pumphrey of Junction City and Jennifer O. Pumphrey (Junior) of Stanford; and his sisters, Juanita Stenson and Lori Pumphrey. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
