He was predeceased by: his siblings, Garland Carpenter (late Louise), Mary Jo Brown, Donald Venus and Patricia Gail. He is survived by: his wife Alice Brown Carpenter; his sons, Hershel Scott Carpenter (Tammie), Brian Keith Carpenter (Heather) of London, Michael Paul Carpenter (Michelle) of Danville and Steven Lee Carpenter (Melanie) of Danville; his grandchildren, Brittny Scott Carpenter Kristen (Billy), Craigory Coppola, Brianna Carpenter, Isaiah Carpenter, Alisha, Zebadiah Carpenter, Colin Carpenter, Logan Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter and Bailee Carpenter; his siblings, Rev. Lester Carpenter (Linda) of London, Wanda Lawson (late Kenneth) of Pierce Township, Kay Houge (Thomas) of Willisburg and Linda Lewis (David) of Hustonville, Kentucky; and his brother-in-law Billy Brown (late Mary Jo) of Hustonville.
