He is survived by: his wife Helen Johnson of Stanford; his children, Damon Allen Johnson (Janette) of Lancaster, KY, Daniel Marcum Johnson (Crystal) of McDonough, GA and Dana Marie Johnson of New York, NY; his siblings, Bob G. Johnson (Shirley) of Bartley, WV, Wesley R. Johnson (Indra) of Bluefield, WV, Robert G. Carnal of Ponchatoula, LA, William D. Carnal (Chi) of Ponchatoula, LA, Barry K. Johnson of Lenore, WV, Doug Johnson of Lenore, WV, John Phillip Davis of Lenore, WV, Debbie Johnson Mills (Jack) of Lenore, WV and Linda Kay Davis Justice (Marshall) of Delbarton, WV; his grandchildren, Jacob Damon Johnson, Isaac James Johnson, Jeremiah Lee Johnson, Anna Grace Johnson, Isaiah Todd Johnson, Asher Lucas Johnson, Elizabeth "Rori" Blackwell and Levi Allen Marcum; and his uncle Larry Lambert. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Spurlin Funeral Home (411 W Main St, Stanford, KY 40484). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery (6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
