He is survived by: his parents, Gene Shields and Barbara Moore Shields; his children, James Shields (Shelby), Stephanie Robinson (Cody), David Shields (Breana), Sarah Morris (Austin), Kelsey Carmicle-Shields, Issac Carmicle-Shields, Waylon Carmicle-Shields and Katie Carmicle-Shields; his grandchildren, Ellie Robinson, Abagail Morris, Zailey Shields, Olivia Shields, Charlee Robinson, Colton Shields and Davis Shields; and his siblings, Becky Burrus (Chuck), Frankie Shields (Linet) and Jodi Noe (Billy).
