He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamp Grant and Ruby Matthews Grant. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Grant of Stanford, KY; his daughter Kim Kennedy of Stanford; and his siblings, David Grant (Hattie) of Lancaster, Bobby Grant of Lancaster and Joyce Brickey of Lancaster. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
