He was predeceased by: his son Grover Carl. He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Riggs of Boyle County and Lori Ann Shadduck (J. D.) of Oak Island; his grandchildren, James Phelps, Jacob Phelps, Jeremy Smith, Victoria Edwards (Jake), Shelby Smith, Emmalee Munsey and Barbara Ellen Smith; and his great grandchildren, Noah Phelps, Hayleigh Rose Phelps, Price Aaron Smith, Reed Oliver Smith, Marshall Cole Edwards, Clayton Wayne Edwards, Liam Clark Goodman and Bristol Laine Lanham.
