It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bennie Smith (Stanford, Kentucky), born in Hustonville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 3, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar, Sr. Smith and Lillie Fletcher Smith; and his siblings, G. W. Smith, Edgar Smith, Jr., Raymond Earl Smith, Denny Smith, Hollis Smith, Ollis Smith, James Lee Smith, Loyd Smith and Opal Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Louada Smith of Stanford, KY; his children, Michael Smith (Candi) of Bloomington Springs, TN and Linda Smith of Stanford, KY; his siblings, Lester Smith (Betty) of New Salem, KY, Wilmoth Lee Cain (Jim) of New Salem, KY and Peggy Coffman of McKinney, KY; his grandchildren, Sylvia Craig (David), Ben Smith, Chris Hurst (Emily), Amy Sims (Dustin), Jeremy Smith and Adam Smith; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Craig, Jaxson Smith, Rylee Sims, Layla Sims, Amelia Hurst, Betsy Hurst and Bright Phothong. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
