She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sumerlin and Lucille Floyd Sumerlin; her spouse Lonnie Wright Spears, Sr.; and her siblings, James Sumerlin and Mary Sumerlin.
She is survived by: her children, Lonnie Spears, Jr. (Norma) of Moreland, Dustan Spears (Candra) of McKinney and Michelle Knouse (Larry) of Waynesburg; her grandchildren, Brandon Casey (Kala) of Moreland, Keyonia Brown (Brandon) of Junction City, Kaleisha Casey of Stanford, Breanna Smith (Jordon) of McKinney, Kalee Spears of McKinney, Allison Stratton of Waynesburg, Adam Spears of Waynesburg, Josh Coddington (Shelby) of Bowling Green and Lexi Knouse of Ohio; and her close friend Perry McElroy. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home (5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
