She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lee Shelton, Sr. and Ila Summerfield Maupin Shelton; her husband James Elmer Dabney; and her siblings, George Lee Shelton, Jr., Samuel Lafayette Shelton and Elizabeth Caylor.
She is survived by: her daughter Judith Ann Hester of Stanford, KY; and her grandchildren, David Brackstan Duncan (Tonya), James Zachary Hester (Eli), Amanda Summerfield Foster (Damon) and Steven Beachy (Rhoda). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
