He is survived by: his wife Shelby Stambaugh Coleman; his son Jamey Coleman (Jessica) of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; and his half-sisters, Rosalee Watt of Kentucky, MaryAnn Scarlett of Kentucky, Ruth Carol Coleman of Kentucky and Emma Gaye Grabowski of Michigan.

“I worked with Coleman for about 3-4 years at the prison. I would be lying if I said he was always smiling lol cause he knew exactly how to straighten them guys up. He was always a character. Never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I loved listening to him talking on the radio cause he always said some of the funniest things and no matter how bad of a day you was having it always made ya laugh.”
