He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard McKenzie and Anna Castle McKenzie; and his siblings, Edward McKenzie, Clyde Marshall McKenzie, Bill McKenzie, Ray McKenzie, Ruthie Selvage, Christine Bayes and Dorothy Fannin.
He is survived by: his wife Lieda Patrick McKenzie; his daughter Tracie Carpenter of Marion, Ohio; his siblings, Danny McKenzie of Mt. Sterling, Paul Douglas McKenzie of Nippa, Kentucky and Brenda Estep of Berea, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Ryan Dean Dye (Myranda) of Marion, Ohio and Lyndsey Dye (Scott) of Marion, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Makaylee Dye, Conner Dye, Nataleigh Dye, Jordan Dye and Kaydance Hall; his stepchildren, Melissa Mosley of Blaine, Kentucky and Scottie Caudill of Paintsville, Kentucky; his stepgrandchildren, T. J. Johnston, Breanna Ratliff, Claire Caudill and Seth Caudill; his great grandchildren, Natalie Ratliff, Allie Ratliff and Laynie Ratliff; and his nieces and nephews, Duane Fraley, Kimber Fraley, Caden Fraley and David Fraley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
