He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Earl Ratliff and Mattie Ward Ratliff; and his siblings, Clyde Ratliff, Robert Earl Ratliff, Leroy Ratliff, James Ratliff, Frank Ratliff, Earl Ratliff, Jr., Clara Fraley, Cora O'Bryan, Hattie Marie Castle, Lois Ann Ratliff and Janice Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Lynn Sergent Ratliff; his daughters, Denise Ratliff Lemaster of Louisville, Deborah Lynn McCuddy (Duane) of Nicholasville and Paula Yvonne Houston (Chris) of Staffordsville, Kentucky; his sister Shirley Kretzer of Winchester, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Chase McCuddy (Tiffany), Shelby Carter (Alex), Milli Conley (Alex), Andrew McCuddy, Madi Houston (Mindy), Brett McCuddy (Caytlyn), Darbi Houston, Ethan McCuddy (Kristen Grimes), Kiley Houston and Peyton Houston; his great grandchildren, Harrison, Harper, Julia, Cecilia, Theodore and Ava Claire; and his sisters-in-law, Lilly Ratliff and Lois Ratliff of Staffordsville, Kentucky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240).
