It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Heightchew of Sparta, Kentucky, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne Heightchew to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Walter Hubert Heightchew; and his grandparents, Herb, Rosa Ann Heightchew, Minice (M. J.) and Laura McAlister.

He is survived by: his mother Norma Jean McAlister Heightchew; his wife Gail; his children, Michelle Lea Heightchew of Sparta, KY, Steven Wayne Heightchew (Elizabeth) of Salem, IN and Jennifer Duncan (Mark McChesney) of Owenton; his grandchildren, Sarah Heightchew, Jacob Heightchew, Hannah Heightchew and Grant Smith (Candace); and his brothers, Michael Heightchew (Lu) of Franklinton and Barry Heightchew (Ruthie) of Pleasureville.

In lieu of flowers, Wayne requested that donations be made to Owen County Friends of Animals or your local animal rescue.
