He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Knapp and Jeanette Donaldson Knapp; his brother Steven Knapp; and his in-laws, Bob and Jean Piper.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Piper Knapp; his children, Jessica Meyer (Brian), Marcus Knapp (Leslie) and Andrew Umphrey (Chelsea); his siblings, Kathy Schulte, Paula Hater, Lois Clayton, Denise Haulber, Norbert Knapp and Beth DiTullio; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Meyer and Beverly Stewart; and his granddaughters, Lucy Meyer, Sadie Meyer and Emma Knapp. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
