It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Richards of South Shore, Kentucky, born in Vanceburg, Kentucky, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Richards and Amanda Dotson Richards; his former wife Charlotte Richards; his brother Charles Richards; his stepson Robert Lawson Jr. (Bobby); and his grandson Ricky Lawson Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Timberlake Richards; his children, David Richards (Laura) of Huber Heights, OH., Robert Richards (Teresa) of Bradenton, FL and Nancy Richards (Marc Valet) of Mebane, NC; his stepson Rick Lawson (Connie) of South Shore, KY; and his sister Dorthy Craft of West Portsmouth, OH. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several other family and friends.
