He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Fredrick Seelhorst, Sr. and Marguerite Louise Coward Seelhorst; his wife Judith Ann Barnett; his sons, Rick (Susan Applegate) of Siloam, Tom (Charlene Sizemore) of Tazewell, TN and Jim (Teresa Martin) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Susan (Steve Miller) of Wooster, OH, Daniel Seelhorst (Samantha), Michael Seelhorst (Georgiana), Stefanie Kokai (Bob), Rebecca Spencer (David), Hannah Rowlands (Jerry), Rachel Seelhorst (Shane Johnson), Allen Seelhorst (Elizabeth), Jennifer Seelhorst (Kenta Ito) and William Seelhorst; his great grandchildren, Pallas Arthur and Noble Seelhorst; his grandchildren, Remy, Benedict, Richard, Annemarie Seelhorst, Abigail, Arthur Spencer and Lee Rowlands; and his sister-in-law Katherine Allen Barnett Fuller.
While attending UK he participated in the Wesley Foundation, a Methodist student fellowship.
