He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Patterson and Mary Philpott Patterson; and his siblings, Ellis H Patterson, Norman Patterson, Dorotha Helen Cardin and Betty Hess.
He is survived by: his wife Mattie Belle Hodges Patterson of Sonora, KY.; his sons, Terry Patterson (Bonnie) of Elizabethtown, KY, Lowell Patterson of Sonora, KY and Aaron Patterson (Jennifer) of Sonora, KY; and his grandchildren, Kevin Patterson, Travis Patterson, Eric Patterson, Ross Patterson, Brett Patterson (Kayla), Jordyn Patterson, Lindsey Patterson and Carly Fonda (Zach). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
