It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Carlene Cornett of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Viola Carlene's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Viola Carlene has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carlos Phelps and Sarah Adams Phelps; her husband Beecher Eugene "Gene" Cornett; her siblings, Raymond E. Phelps (Ruby), James "Leonard" Phelps (Kathleen), William "Earl" Phelps (Christine), Robert B. "Bob" Phelps (Joyce) and Geraldine Haynes (Samuel); her niece Nancy Phelps; and her nephews, David Phelps and Ronald "Bruce" Ping.
She is survived by: her sister Sue Ping (Ronald) of Eubank. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
