It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Hammond of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bradsford Abbott and Cynthia Abbott; her children, Charles Dudley, Debra Kay and Gary Wayne; and her siblings, Oscar, Earl, Eugene, Ida Bell, Berniece and Faye.
She is survived by: her son Raymond Lee Hammond; and her nieces, Linda Dick (Dennis) and Theresa Cox (Robert). She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Main Chapel (165 KY-2227, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the same location.
