The memory of Velma Sue Polston of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Belcher (Verda) and Verda Potter Belcher; and her siblings, Harold Belcher, Conley Belcher, Donley Belcher, Robert Belcher and Shirley Dyer.
She is survived by: her husband Kendall Polston; her children, Becky Hargis (Terry) of Nancy, Tammy Jessee (Charles) of Russell Springs, Michael Ashley (Kathy) of Eubank and Pam Gibson; and her siblings, Gene Belcher and Violet Elkins. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503).
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Military Springs Cemetery Fund in memory of Velma Polston.
