He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip McCoy and Marjorie Shelley McCoy; his grandparents, Robert, Julia Shelley, Fred and Anna Maude McCoy; his father-in-law D. B. Trimble; and his great-nephew Levi Goad.
He is survived by: his wife Ranee Trimble McCoy; his daughter Shelley Maran McCoy of Somerset, KY; his brother Doug McCoy (Pam Gibson) of Burnside, KY; his mother-in-law Mary Lou Trimble of Nancy, KY; his sister Sonja Stigall (Richard); his nieces and nephews, Chelsa Goad (Shawn), Connor Goad (Taya Bryant), Landon Goad, Christopher Stigall (Ashley), Walker Stigall and Wiley Stigall; and his aunt Brenda Harvey of Columbia, KY. He is also survived by extended family members, church family, co-workers, neighbors and friends.
The family requests that memorial donations take the form of contributions to the Tarter Cemetery Fund or Alzheimers Association at Team McCoy, in memory of David McCoy.
