It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pauline Girdler Jones of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Pauline Girdler leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Pauline Girdler may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Girdler and Belle McDonald Girdler; her husband Samuel Jones, Jr.; and her brother Gilbert E. Girdler of Somerset, KY.. She is survived by: her son Reverend Samuel Kemp Jones (Ann); her grandson Riley Carlton Jones (Ally Binder) of Plymouth, WI; her sister-in-law Joyce Yaden Girdler of Somerset, KY; and her cousin Douglas Denney (Rhonda).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (99 S Central Ave, Somerset, KY 42501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
