It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary K. Goodpaster of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Ada Ledford Usher; her husband David L. Goodpaster; her sisters, Janet Isom and Patricia Haas; and her daughter-in-law Kelly Goodpaster.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Goodpaster, Scott Goodpaster (Becky) and Kimberly Cecil (Brent); her grandchildren, Justin Harris (Selena), Mahal Cecil (Lucas), Aaron Goodpaster, Devan Goodpaster (Autumn), Noah Cecil, Emory Goodpaster (Alex), Trinity McClanahan, Zadin McClanahan and Erek McClanahan; and her great grandchildren, Jace Harris and Lexi Harris.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
