Lucy Belle Stringer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2024, at the age of 91, Lucy Belle Stringer of Somerset, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jordan Calhoun and Cora Jane Bray Calhoun; her husband Rev. Hubert Stringer; her sons, Ronnie Lee Stringer and Hubert Stringer, Jr.; her grandson Jimmy Mayfield; her children-in-law, Gary Hicken and Margaret Stringer; her parents-in-law, Lonnie and Isabella Childers Stringer; and her siblings, Othie Edward Calhoun, Everett James Calhoun, Jesse Cleo Calhoun, Marion Calhoun, Frank Gilbert Calhoun, Robert Ford Calhoun, Martha Ann Goff, Ada Belle Floyd, Doshie Marie Shepherd, Arlie Lee Clines and Edna Mae Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Dewey Emmett Stringer of Somerset, Edwin Everett Stringer of Monticello, Imogene Hicken of Somerset and Kathy Mae Caudill of Somerset; and her grandchildren, Trampes Stringer (Tonya), Melissa Jones (Jeremy), Tommy Vaughn, Timothy Stringer, Angela Simpson, Tonya Norris, Donald Hicken and Michael Hicken. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503).
