He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Franklin Ping and Bessie Mae Farmer Ping; and his siblings, James "Jimmy" Ping, Richard Ping, Orville Ping, Edward Ping, Herman Ray Ping, Forrest Ping, Netha Ping Bloemer, Ruth Ping Tulley and Sherry Ping Miles.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Pearl Brinson Ping; his children, Karen Cannon (Wil) of Bowling Green, Teresa Jones (Roy Alan) of Portland, Tennessee, Steven Ping (Karen) of Farragut and Joseph Ping (Jean) of Somerset, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kyle Cannon, Wil Tyler Cannon, Joshua Cannon, Mark Jones, Nathan Jones, Cody Jones, Luke Jones, Travis Ping, Jacob Ping, Caleb Ping, Brenda McKinney and Zoey Ping; his great grandchildren, Noah Cannon, Malakai Ping, Caroline Cannon and Gwen Jones; and his siblings, John "Jack" Ping, William "Bill" Ping and Cecelia Ping Maxey.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mill Springs National Cemetery (9044 KY-80, Nancy, KY 42544).
